Situation :
A manufacturer of specialty fashion fabrics in New York was buying premium yarns from Europe but couldn't get the delivery and customization he needed to advance his product lines on a rapid enough schedule. "Nobody in the United States can make the yarns you want," he was told, "they are too technical and the volume isn't big enough."
Results:
Concordia analyzed his requirements and the markets he was trying to reach. It became clear that the technical challenges involved would produce a unique fabric that, if successful, would be very hard to duplicate. It took Concordia several tries, but the success of the final yarn has now grown into a line of products that can be found in garments at top retailers across the country, including dresses designed by Diane Von Furstenberg.
